Hello...........

Guess who's back, guess who's back. guess who's baaacckk???

It's me silly, Dominique : )

Yes I must confess I have been hiding... not from you OR them but merely LUXURIATING (I know that's not a word, lol) in my own little summertime haven. I have enjoyed this time immensely and am not quite ready to re-emerge. Thus I will continue to luxuriate a little longer and return very soon my pretties.

In the meantime if I muster up enought motivation I will try to drop some jewels in this blog BUT if I don't please know that I am making a good use of my time.

Some positive news is that I have continued to mentor and help other individuals who are interested in media, and actually helped a nice guy get a job at ESPN. I can honestly tell you that when I heard the news that he got the job it could've been me getting the job because I was so happy for him. I know what it feels like to be on that job hunt and getting a job - man - i'll just say words can't describe that feeling. The ironic part is that the job he got was a job that I interviewed for about a year ago (that was me a year ago, O' how time flies). Although I turned down the position because they took too long to make the offer, I was able to use that experience to help someone else. Now that is joy, a blessing, and a job well done - gracias Dios! Go IRTS!!

In sad news a fellow model was in a terrible accident. As I wrote to her I am really sad to hear that anyone was involved in something so traumatic, especially a child. Because of the accident this woman will have to put her career on hold : ( The upside is that she survived and what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Personally the thought of something like this happening to me has crossed my mind many times. Sometimes you forget how blessed you are that you have all 4 limbs, can walk, see, hear and talk. I consider these luxuries because so many people live without them. Although I don't "pity" those that have disabilities because they are very strong individuals who have overcome many obstacles. You have to wonder would your man still love you if you got in a car accident and you became paralyzed, would he still love you if you got burned over 90% of your body including your face, or if you had cancer and had to shave your head. Sometimes you have to ponder and ask yourself these questions..............
