A Week In Review: Black History Month

Hey Friends:

Wassup, wassup, WASSUP........It feels great to be back here writing you all. So much has happend in the last week that I didn't even remember everything I did until NOW!!

Today was a beautiful day I have been feeling a little feverish but right NOW I am running off pure adrenaline and those fumes are pushing me through today and they will through this week as well. This week is GRIND week for me. TODAY I left an amazing seminar with Bob Lambert. The seminar was for Soap Opera Acting and I learned SOOO much. It was really a great experience and the other actors were great as well Can't wait to get it poppin!!

Well this is how last week went.........

Tamia came to MTV for Black History Month and she blew me AWAY......her vocals are soo beautiful, I want for her to succeed so much!! She deserves it......Watch the Videos below to see.

Then I went to an event at the Latin Quarter (LQ) here in NYC thrown by the JIGroup.com. Dennis Kimbro the author of Think & Grow Rich: A Black Choice was in the house and he broke us off with some good knowledge. You know after he spoke I was the first one standing by the stage to get my book autographed. I literally bum-rushed him and was surprised that I was the first one there. The life of a go-getter I guess ??? I was pretty mesmerized by his speech...entranced really...he has met so many amazing people he REALLY REALLY knows what's up!!

T-Mobile had a party too for their new Nokia phone and it was kinda CRAZY......... they had all these chicks in silver suits dancing with people on stilts and acrobats. The food was good with the fruit fondue and then a meat carving station. Of course there was open bar too so you know I was getting busy off the bubbly Then a music group called the TeddyBears came out. They were kind of cool and they performed with the Bear masks on, can you believe it?? They were from Sweden....THEN much to my surprise TWISTA came on!!!! Even though he hasn't had a hit for a couple years he STILL has some classics if you ask me. I have been listening to him since my Seattle days and his first album Adrenaline Rush is FIRE!!

Whew.................

So after that guess who else decided to bless us with his presence at MTV..... Kevin Liles, the EVP of Warner Music Group. This guy has an amazing story about his rise from Intern to President at Island Def Jam Music Group. He had so much amazing knowledge to share about how we can all 1) Find our Will & 2) Make it HAPPEN!! II was truly inspired and blessed to be in his genius presence. I am reading his book now and will let you know how it goes.

Well that is ALL folks...........till next time Peace & LOVE!
