Music Video Debut

Hi Friends..........

How you doin??? (teeehehehe). I don't even know why I am up here keekee'ing at 11:47PM on a Saturday but we can just call it delirium from being sick and a wonderful thing called medicine I am quite fond of if you ask anyone that knows me : ).

I actually have many lovely reasons to be keekee'ing but right now I am happy to share the video I did a couple of months ago for the Caribbean music group "Carimi". If you recall I play a devious Psychiatrist that turns into a VIXEN.

So without further delay here it is folks..............




Well now that I am sure I have made absolutely no sense I will remove myself from the computer BUT not before I plug shamelessly my wonderful extra work on All My Children (hahahaha, is that an oxymoron??? wonderful extra work???). This week May 2nd & 3rd at 1:00PM on ABC in the Bridal Shower scene with Miss Kendall Hart & Mr.Ryan Lavery.

A Month in Review.............

Hi Family:

How is everyone doing??? Me?? Honestly I am a little tired, a little reflective BUT feeling sooo blessed & ready for the rest of the weekend (can't forget auditions).
So in this last month I have been quite a busy beaver as my momma would say. I have mostly been doing things behind the scenes, working on getting the new site together (almost done) and just having more, more & more meetings (agents?? YES) & auditions. For those who don't know I gets my GRIND on, and I don't stop...I am so serious..not in a conceited way but in a SERIOUS way!............(okay, now let's kiss and make-up, xoxox).

After taking a great Soap Seminar Intensive at The Actors Connection here in NYC, I met Bob Lambert the Casting Director for All My Children. Bob is sooo amazing that ACTORS, you should really have faith in Casting Directors. They really are your friend and want you to be successful. The info Bob put me onto has been so valuable as I have been doing my behind-the-scenes submissions (yes folks, hardcopy submissions still work), resume revisions, auditions, etc. Soooo, to start I have been doing some background work on the set of All My Children. I am a Fusion Intern, so in the scenes we have taped I was helping the fabulous Kendall with some of her duties. The actress who plays Kendall is so friendly & soo beautiful in person. Everyone on the set, crew & actors were amazing. Hopefully this will lead to more opportunities on All My Children.

I also made a visit to the Sirius Satellite Studios here in NYC. I was a guest on the DeVore & Diana Show on the Maxim Radio Channel. They are enlisting their "Army of Babes" and they called me in to see if I had what it took to be one. I honestly knew that they were going to probably come at me crazy but I figured I could handle my own & that I did. Their great Producer Lea is sending me a copy of the interview and I will post it ASAP.

It doesn't end there.........

Just yesterday I had my audition for the first semester of my second year of acting school at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I completed the first year of instruction in December but took the first semester off because I needed a break but now I am BACK. My monologue was a dramatic one which is typical of me. In my real life I am fun, happy, and optimistic but I almost always do dramatic or serious roles. I prepared for a LONG time for this audition and I felt really great. All of the other actors were soo TALENTED. I have a feeling our productions will be a force to be reckoned with. In two weeks we will begin rehearsals and will rehearse for 10 weeks before we have just ONE show in the last week of June. I will keep you updated on the date, time & location of that.

Another day has ended........

And it is time for me to return to my batcave but can I say what a beautiful day today is.

I know I have been MIA lately but I haven't gone anywhere. I have simply been doing some behind the scene things, getting my ducks in a row, preparing, preparing, preparing. In the midst of all that I have been keeping high spirits and waiting patiently for the beautiful spring to come.

All this sunny weather reminds me that I am going home soon and I am sooo EXCITED!! I woulnd't say that I am home sick but I sure am missing my MOMMY & baby girl. You have to remember that I am up here in the City alone (cue southern belle accent), always working or studying so I don't get to have many wholesome type moments. It's mostly industry, industry, industry. I have been sending my baby girl 1 post card every week counting down my return home : )

The good thing about having your own place is that even when you aren't "home" you still manage to have a place of seclusion and privacy to relax and recharge. I am definitely the recharge type and lately I have been cooking on the weekends which was something I missed. When I lived in Harlem I did it all the time but then I got crazy and only had time to basically go to the store and buy all the food premade which was nice cause I was getting some great food BUT oh how I missed my little things. LEMON CAKE.........mmmmm, I will tear some lemon cake up and I guess when it is just me in the kitchen by myself and no one is looking I can steal another slice, can't I???

Holla at me and let's chat or get together. I am just about ready to get back on the scene now that the Spring is here (summer dresses, yayyy). Plus I have decided to go back to the Academy so in about 2 weeks the 1st semester of my 2nd year of acting school at the Academy will begin and we will go straight into productions. I will keep you updated when it is time for the actual LIVE shows. If you are have other projects in the meantime keep me updated because I would still like to do other stuff simultaneously BUT they have to be good projects because I really have to commit myself to these productions and I am NOT going to screw that up over some WACK project (sorry, a little resentment).

Oh yes, one more thing. The NEW site is almost DONE!! Saw an updated version today and it looks smashing da'ling. Absolutely smashing. The site is already designed and now we are just tweaking the multimedia section but once you see this OMG, you will LOVE it because it will be exactly what it is www.DominiqueJackson.TV.
